White Oak School Bullying Plan
Introduction
Student safety is of the greatest concern at White Oak as it is at all schools. Part of the school’s role is to respond effectively to bullying and, just as importantly, to create a learning environment that will reduce the likelihood of bullying occurring. White Oak’s small size, its intensive 3:1 student : faculty ratio, and its culture of caring and supportive instruction go a long way toward enfranchising each and every student.
White Oak’s bullying response plan is modeled on the plan promulgated buy the Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education. Like any plan governing the complexity of human relations, it should be seen as a living and responsive document. White Oak welcomes thoughtful comments regarding the plan and may make amendments when appropriate.
